Individual / Group Counselling Services
Students who encounter personal problems relating to interpersonal relationship, study, employment, career prospects, finance, etc. are encouraged to approach the student counsellors for advice. Our individual and group counselling services aim to help students build confidence, self-esteem and to better realise their potentials. |

Developmental Programmes
To support the all-round development of students, personal growth training programmes and workshops are regularly offered, including social skills, leadership skills, stress and emotion management, examination techniques, studying methods, personality reconstruction, etc. |

Career Development Services
Career development activities are provided at different times of the year, including careers talks, exhibitions, workshops, and seminars. In addition, students can obtain up-to-date information on job searching, interviews and overseas studies at the SDO Office. |

Physical Education
The Physical Education (PE) Unit offers regular PE modules and sports activities with the aim to enhance students' sports skills and physical fitness and in the long run, help them build up a healthy and balanced lifestyle. In addition, the Unit organizes large scale sports events, such as the VTC Athletic Meet, Inter-Campus Ball Games, VTC Sports Teams, Hong Kong Award for Young People (HKAYP), etc. On the other hand, advice and support is offered to the Student Union, departmental societies and interest groups to help them organise various types of sports activities and competitions. |

MTR Student Travel Scheme
Students, who are aged between 12 and 25 and are currently enrolled on a full-time day course offered by an acceptable institution in Hong Kong, are eligible for applying a Personalized Octopus card in their name with valid "Student Status".
Student Emergency Fund
Students with immediate financial difficulties can apply for the Fund through the Student Counsellor.
Scholarships & Awards
The Office provides students with information on scholarships and loan schemes and assists them in the process of application.

Students' Organization
The Office offers consultation service to student organisations and supports their activities. We also provide training for student leaders, such as leadership training camps.
Students' Union
The Students' Union is a self-governing body run by students. It is set up to foster students' sense of belonging to the campus, promote their welfare and provide a channel of communication between students and the Institute.
All full-time students are members of the Students' Union. They are encouraged to form clubs and organize activities to cater for fellow students' recreational, sports and intellectual interests. |
