    Vocational Training Council has successfully applied for funding from the Environment and Conservation Fund of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to construct the photovoltaic (PV) system on the rooftop of the
    IVE (Lee Wai Lee) building. The PV system is grid-connected and it supplies electricity for campus use. The construction work was completed on 15 May 2011 and it has been providing electricity since 16 May 2011.


     

    Educational sessions have been conducted to enhance students’ understanding about the use of renewable energies and environmental protection.
