    Overview Opening Hours Adverse Weather Arrangement




    TM LRC Adverse Weather Arrangement



    The LRC will being closed one and half hour after the Hong Kong Observatory issue the Pre-No. 8 Special Announcement.

    The LRC will resume services TWO hours after the Hong Kong Observatory’s announcement of lowering the Typhoon No. 8 signal or Black Rainstorm signal or “Extreme Conditions” that depending on weather conditions and the availability of public transport.

    If there is the VTC announcement of suspension of evening classes in times of adverse weather, the LRC will be closed at 5:00 pm. For detailed information regarding the evening class arrangement, please refer to VTC Website.

    Cancelled on or before 4:00 pm resume services TWO hours after the announcement of lowering Signal no. 8
    Cancelled on or after 4:01 pm remain closed
    Saturdays
    9:00 am to 5:00 pm    		 Issued before opening hours remain closed
    Issued when Library is open being closed one and half hour after the issue of the Pre-No. 8 Special Announcement.
    Cancelled on or before 2:00 pm resume services TWO hours after the announcement of lowering Signal no. 8
    Cancelled on or after 2:01 pm remain closed

    Cancelled on or after 9:01 am remain closed


    *In the case of serious disruption of public transport services, extensive flooding, major landslides or large-scale power outage caused by a super typhoon, the Government will make an announcement of “extreme conditions”.
