Welcome to the
website of IVE (Sha Tin)
Founded in 1986, the
Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Sha
Tin) was formerly known as the Sha Tin Technical Institute.
In response to the changing needs of the Hong Kong's economy, the
Institute has offered Higher Diploma and Higher Certificate courses
since 1999 and became part of the IVE system.
Located at Wo Che,
the Institute has a site area of 3 hectares with a
building area of 38,000 square metres, providing a wide range of
academic, campus and recreation facilities to support the teaching of
various courses/subjects and holding of various activities.
Currently, there are
five academic departments in the Institute,
namely, Department of Applied Science, Department of Business
Administration, Department of Child Education and Community Services,
Department of Computing and Department of Electronic and Information
Engineering. We will continue to build on our strengths with
a view to producing well-rounded graduates with the required expertise
to take on the challenges in their chosen fields.
