The Rotary International District 3450 Learning Resources Centre (LRC) provides a wide range of services to support the needs of students and staff for learning and teaching. It renders a one-stop facility hub with integrated services in IT, Library, and Multimedia Services.

Library Services include circulation, reference, intercampus and interlibrary loan, as well as user education. Campus Learning Resources Centres have a total collection of over 601,000 volumes, including course-related books, journals, newspapers, and non-print materials. Additionally, there are approximately 490,000 e-journals and e-books available. The digitized IVE examination papers, course syllabuses, videos, and VTC publications can be accessed both on and off campus through the VTC Examination & Course Syllabus Database.

VTC Library Collection can be located and reserved through the VTC Library Catalogue.

RFID techniques have been implemented for the IVE(ST) LRC collection, making borrowing services more efficient at the Circulation Counter. Additionally, a self-borrowing service, including an e-Read Kiosk and a Self-check System, is provided within the LRC. For added convenience, a self-pickup station is available outside the LRC for users to collect reserved items.

Apart from seminar rooms and project rooms, the LRC also houses the One Button Studio (OBS) and Video Editing Station. Students can reserve the Studio for video recording or the Video Editing Station for video editing through the Online OBS Booking System.

For IT Services, we provide around 150 PCs in the LRC G/F to support the students’ learning needs. Students can also access the central computing facilities in the Computer Rooms located on the 1st and 4th floor of the campus. Students can use the facilities in Room 107D and LRC Complex for free quota printing services. Notebook on-loan service is provided for students in support of their learning. They can connect to the campus wireless network with a valid Computer & Network Account (CNA) after user authentication. There is also a good Wi-Fi coverage within the campus.

A Multimedia Zone is setup on the ground floor of the LRC Complex for students/staff to develop their course assignments and teaching materials. Multimedia equipment has been installed including projection system, audio system and computing facilities in teaching venues. Graphic, photo, audio and video production services are provided for staff. Multimedia Services also support campus events such as Info Day, Student Scholarships and Prizes Presentation Ceremony, Student Admissions activities.
