Major Duties: |
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement; |
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
(d) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and |
(e) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised degree in the field of fitness and exercise, nutrition and health coaching, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
(b) |
At least 3 years’ full-time relevant teaching and/or industry experience; |
(c) |
With solid experience in physical fitness and nutritional assessment, familiar with the psychology, prescription and weight management for exercise and health, and knowledge of promotion in community health and exercise, health coaching and counselling and general science would be an advantage; |
(d) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; and |
(e) |
Good records of linkages with the industry or with solid work experience would be an added advantage. |

Notes: |
(1) |
Candidates with less experience may be considered for the post of Part-time (Daytime) Assistant Lecturer in the rank of “Teaching Associate”. |
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
(3) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. |
(4) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus. |
