The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 2012. It is an innovative, professional and entrepreneurial organisation committed to greening and sustainability. THEi offers more than 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" degree programmes across six Academic Departments: Department of Food and Health Sciences, Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering, Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Hospitality and Business Management, Department of Design and Architecture, and Department of Digital Innovation and Technology. These programmes cover industries with growth potential in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region. The programmes integrate practical applications with theoretical knowledge to ensure that students can effectively apply what they have learned. Major Duties: |
The appointee shall engage in teaching and related learning activities, support students in their learning, participate in academic and scholarly activities of the Department, and undertake academic and administrative support services for the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Digital Manufacturing. Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial and System Engineering or a relevant field; |
(b) |
At least 4 years of full-time relevant teaching and/or industry experience; |
(c) |
Good interpersonal and communication skills; |
(d) |
High proficiency in English and preferably in Chinese, including Putonghua; He/she must also fulfil one of the following criteria: |

(i) |
Mother tongue/language is Putonghua; or |
|
(ii) |
Received a recognised bachelor’s degree or above of which the Medium of Instruction (MOI) was Putonghua; or |
|
(iii) |
At least 3 years’ work experience in Mainland China or other Putonghua speaking countries or regions; or |
|
(iv) |
Achieved at least Grade 2 Level B in the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) – Putonghua Proficiency Test administered by the State Commission on Language Work. |

Notes: |
(1) |
The medium of instruction is Putonghua. |
(2) |
The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary. |
(3) |
The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. |
(4) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to give a teaching demonstration in English and Putonghua at the interview. |
(5) |
The appointee will work at Tsing Yi campus. |
