Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement; |
|
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
|
(d) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and |
|
(e) |
To participate in departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. |
|

|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A relevant recognised degree, preferably in Pet Care / Grooming, Veterinary Nursing, Veterinary Medicine, or equivalent; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ full-time relevant teaching and/or industry experience; |
|
(c) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; |
|
(d) |
Relevant experience in pet industry (e.g. pet care service, pet grooming service, etc.) would be an advantage; and |
|
(e) |
Good records of linkage with the pet care service industry or with solid work experience would be an added advantage. |

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Candidates with less experience may be considered for the post of Term Assistant Lecturer in the rank of “Teaching Associate”. |
|
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
|
(3) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. |
|
(4) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus. |
