Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 1982, has always been at the forefront of vocational and professional education and training (VPET). As a statutory body, we exist within Hong Kong education system to ensure the skills of the Hong Kong workforce remain fresh and future ready. Our mandate to provide VPET is vital in meeting industry needs, and in fulfilling the aspirations of some 200,000 young people and in-service workers who attend a programme every year at one of our 14 member institutions. Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology(HKIIT) is a specialised member institution of VTC dedicated in offering IT and relevant technology programmes as outlined in the Policy Address. It aims to nurture IT talents and to serve as a training hub for specialised IT certificates. The programme offered covers all aspects of IT and are designed to provide students with the latest knowledge and skills to develop a career in this exciting and rapidly changing environment. The HKIIT SkillsUP In-service Training provides re-skilling and up-skilling programmes for practitioners to acquire emerging IT skills and knowledge for enhancing their professional capabilities to meet the ever-changing needs of the IT industry. Major Duties: |
(a) |
To perform teaching duties and deliver training sessions, professional courses, talks, seminars and exchange programmes for IT SkillsUP initiatives, which could be held during office or non-office hours; |
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; and |
(c) |
To develop, update and prepare training, learning and assessment materials / presentation for seminars. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant work experience in related areas, with solid experience in the operations of commercial or education environments; |
(c) |
Good communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese; |
(d) |
A good level of proficiency in Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; |
(e) |
Experience in delivering training sessions, professional courses, talks and seminars to Hong Kong/Mainland delegations is highly preferred; and |
(f) |
Good knowledge or experience in the field of public administration and/or China affairs is an advantage. |

Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment. |

The appointee(s) may be required to work on irregular hours and perform duties on Saturdays and Sundays in designated places as assigned. |

Valid documentary evidence must be provided for the relevant work experience. |
