Major Duties: |
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement; |
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials including feasibility study and syllabus writing; |
(d) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and |
(e) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars, exhibitions and and graduation show. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised degree in Jewellery Design, or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or work experience in the above subject areas, preferably with hands-on experience in the relevant field; |
(c) |
With significant achievements in relevant profession such as awards and scholarships; |
(d) |
Good teaching, administrative, interpersonal and team building skills; |
(e) |
Good communication and presentation skill in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; |
(f) |
High motivation for programme and new project development; and |
(g) |
Good records of linkage with industry / professional bodies would be an advantage. |

Notes: |
(1) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
(2) |
Applicants are required to submit a 3-page A4-size portfolio to demonstrate the competencies. |
(3) |
Shortlisted candidate will be required to take a written assessment. |
(4) |
Appointees may be required to work irregular hours / outside normal office hours and/or at different work locations on a need basis. |
