The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 2012. It is an innovative, professional and entrepreneurial organisation committed to greening and sustainability. THEi offers more than 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" degree programmes across six Academic Departments: Department of Food and Health Sciences, Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering, Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Hospitality and Business Management, Department of Design and Architecture, and Department of Digital Innovation and Technology. These programmes cover industries with growth potential in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region. The programmes integrate practical applications with theoretical knowledge to ensure that students can effectively apply what they have learned. Contract period: |

Major Duties: |
The appointee shall: |
(a) |
Be responsible to plan, execute and co-ordinate various tasks relevant to the project; |
(b) |
Review reports for administrative compliance and submission; |
(c) |
Report writing and submission; |
(d) |
Supervise and co-ordinate the work of supporting staff and ensure the effective delivery of services and meeting deadlines; |
(e) |
Perform and/or supervise supporting staff and student helper(s) on demonstration work to visitors; |
(f) |
Provide executive and secretarial support to projects, functions and events; and |
(g) |
Any other work assigned by the project supervisors or principal investigators. |

Requirements: |
The successful candidate should have: |
(a) |
A recognised degree or above, preferably Master’s degree, or equivalent qualification in Science, Engineering or a relevant discipline; |
(b) |
At least 2 years’ of relevant work experience, such as laboratory and/or research experience in hydrogen or new energy systems, event planning, event execution and co-ordination, preferably in research centre, education institution or comparable organisation; |
(c) |
Good communication, inter-personal, organisational and administrative skills; |
(d) |
A pro-active approach and ability to work independently; and |
(e) |
Good command of English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua. |

Notes: |
(1) |
The post of Research Associate is at the rank of Research Assistant I. |
(2) |
Applicants with a recognised Degree in a relevant discipline but less experience will be considered for the post of “Research Assistant”, at the rank of Research Assistant II. |
(3) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays. |
(4) |
The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. |
(5) |
The appointee(s) will work at Chai Wan campus. |
