Major Duties: |
(a) |
To liaise with venue hirers in organizing both local and international events, i.e. budgetary estimation, logistic arrangements, layout plans, venue arrangements and site decoration; |
(b) |
To communicate with internal and external parties to ensure smooth implementation of the events ranging from drafting correspondence, proposals to policy papers; |
(c) |
To support on-site events and liaise with hirers on finance related matters; |
(d) |
To maintain sustainable relationships with strategic partners and communicate with them in various collaborative events; |
(e) |
To manage venue booking including but not limited to assessment of booking applications, maintenance of booking calendar and handling enquiries from hirers; |
(f) |
To provide secretarial and administrative support to various boards / committees / working groups; and |
(g) |
To supervise and coordinate the work of clerical and supporting staff to ensure the smooth operation of the operational unit. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised degree or equivalent; |
(b) |
At least 2 years’ relevant work experience preferably in organising events with international arts / cultural / design organisations; |
(c) |
Good knowledge in IT applications such as MS Office and Photoshop; |
(d) |
Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese, and preferably including Putonghua; |
(e) |
Good communication and administrative / project / event management skills; and |
(f) |
Proactive and be able to work independently under pressure. |

Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic/professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |

The appointee may be required to work irregular hours outside normal office hours and / or outside campus. |
