The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 2012. It is an innovative, professional and entrepreneurial organisation committed to greening and sustainability. THEi offers more than 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" degree programmes across six Academic Departments: Department of Food and Health Sciences, Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering, Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Hospitality and Business Management, Department of Design and Architecture, and Department of Digital Innovation and Technology. These programmes cover industries with growth potential in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region. The programmes integrate practical applications with theoretical knowledge to ensure that students can effectively apply what they have learned. Major Duties: |
The appointee shall engage in delivering lectures and conducting tutorials for the Department in both English and Putonghua as medium of instruction (MOI). |

Subjects include (a) Social Media & Digital Marketing, (b) Integrated Marketing Communication, (c) MICE Business & Operations Management, (d) Public Relations & Media Campaign Management, (e) Public Speaking, (f) Media Morality, (g) Organization Behaviour & Communication, and (h) Supervisory in Final Year Project. |

Requirements: |
The successful candidate should have a recognised Master’s degree in one or more of the following fields: International Events Management, Marketing Research, Customer Relationship Management, Public Relations, Communication or related fields, with at least 4 years of teaching experience at tertiary level and/or experience in professional practice in the relevant fields. Candidates with strong industry networks will be highly desirable, and high proficiency in English and Chinese, including Putonghua. S/he must also fulfil one of the following criteria: |

Mother tongue/language is Putonghua; or |
(b) |
Received a recognised bachelor’s degree or above of which the Medium of Instruction (MOI) was Putonghua; or |
(c) |
At least 3 years’ work experience in Mainland China or other Putonghua speaking countries or regions; or |
(d) |
Achieved at least Grade 2 Level B in the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) - Putonghua Proficiency Test administered by the State Commission on Language Work. |

Notes: |

Shortlisted candidates will be required to provide evidence demonstrating their proficiency in formal writing in English and Chinese and to deliver a teaching demonstration in both English and Putonghua. |

The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary. |
(3) |
The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. |

The appointee will work at Chai Wan Campus. |
