    Instructor
    Wofoo Foundation Dr Joseph Lee Whole Person Development Education Centre

    Major Duties:
    (a) To plan, organise, and provide experiential learning activities for students and adults, including Structured Whole Person Development (SWPD) Programmes, adventure education, and outdoor activities;
    (b) To deliver and perform teaching duties and provide practical training, including instructional design, assessment, and facilitation;
    (c) To prepare and set up training facilities, equipment, and activity materials;
    (d) To implement and ensure proper execution of safety management policies and procedures, including checking adventure facilities, assessing potential risks, and adhering to safety guidelines; and
    (e) To ensure quality assurance mechanisms are effectively implemented, assist in organising centre training and activities, and coordinate various related activities.
       
    Requirements:
    (a) A recognised higher diploma in a relevant field, preferably in experiential learning / outdoor adventure training / social work / sports and recreation training, or equivalent;
    (b) At least 3 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry;
    (c) A valid high event coaching qualifications or equivalent credentials issued by recognised associations;
    (d) At least one valid adventure training or outdoor education coaching qualification issued by recognised associations, such as low event, adventure instructor, abseiling, sports climbing, mountain craft, kayaking, etc.;
    (e) Preferably with a valid first aid certificate or relevant professional qualifications;
    (f) Good knowledge of basic computer applications;
    (g) Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese, preferably with knowledge in Putonghua;
    (h) Ability to work independently, demonstrate a sense of responsibility and be a good team player; and
    (i) The ability to pass a trade test.
         
    Notes:
    (1) Candidates without the required academic qualification stated in the Requirement (a) above but possessing 8 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry may also apply.  Where applicable, these candidates may be required to have a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification.
    (2) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic/professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
    (3) The appointee will be assigned to work outdoors in Tai Lam Chung (near Tuen Mun Road interchange) or at different designated locations as needed.
    (4) The appointee may be required to work outside of office hours, on Saturdays, Sundays, or public holidays.
    (5) In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process.
