The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 2012. It is an innovative, professional and entrepreneurial organisation committed to greening and sustainability. THEi offers more than 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" degree programmes across six Academic Departments: Department of Food and Health Sciences, Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering, Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Hospitality and Business Management, Department of Design and Architecture, and Department of Digital Innovation and Technology. These programmes cover industries with growth potential in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region. Major Duties: |
The appointee shall report to the Programme Leader and Head of Department and engage in teaching and related learning activities, support students in their learning, participate in academic and scholarly activities of the Department, and undertake academic and administrative support services of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Digital Transformation programme. The Programme aims to develop students’ understanding and capability to become digital transformers, manage transformation and innovation in the current business environment. Requirements: |
The successful candidate should have a recognised Doctoral degree in one of the following areas: Information Technology; Digital Transformation; E-commerce; Financial Technology; Digitalization and Digital Innovation, or related disciplines, with at least 4 years’ relevant teaching experience at tertiary level and/or experience in professional practice in the related fields. Candidates with a recognised postgraduate degree or professional qualification in law will also be considered. S/he should have experience in supervising students’ Final Year Projects, and have high proficiency in English and Chinese, including Putonghua. S/he must also fulfil one of the following criteria: |

Mother tongue/language is Putonghua; or |
(b) |
Received a recognised bachelor’s degree or above of which the Medium of Instruction (MOI) was Putonghua; or |
(c) |
At least 3 years’ work experience in Mainland China or other Putonghua speaking countries or regions; or |
(d) |
Achieved at least Grade 2 Level B in the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) - Putonghua Proficiency Test administered by the State Commission on Language Work. |
