Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties in the subject area of Electrical / Mechanical / Automotive Engineering and assist in supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement; |
|
(b) |
To provide guidance and services to students in laboratory; |
|
(c) |
To oversee operation of projects as assigned by supervisor(s) in the areas of Electrical / Mechanical / Automotive Engineering; |
|
(d) |
To oversee procurement, maintenance and commissioning of equipment; |
|
(e) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. |
|
(f) |
To assist Centre Manager / Senior Engineer in the development of new project services and training to meet the needs of the industry; |
|
(g) |
To assist Centre Manager / Senior Engineer to explore new project areas for the Centre, such as developing consultancy, training programs, or research projects; and |
|
(h) |
To assist Centre Manager / Senior Engineer to coordinate research projects and provide support on research administration. |

|
|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Automotive Engineering or equivalent professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
|
(b) |
Applicants would have an advantage if they have knowledge and/or possess solid experience in one or more of the following areas: |
|
|
- |
Vehicle emissions testing with Euro VI/6 European emissions standard; |
|
|
- |
Operation of Portable Emission Measurement System (PEMS); |
|
|
- |
Electric Vehicles; |
|
|
- |
Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles; and |
|
(c) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese. |

Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
