|
Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement; |
|
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(c) |
To take up coordinator / supervisory role of the programme when necessary; |
|
(d) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
|
(e) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; |
|
(f) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions; |
|
(g) |
To attend meetings when necessary; and |
|
(h) |
To promote student admission activities. |
|
|
|
|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience, preferably in the field of Aviation Services; |
|
(c) |
Good communication, teaching and presentation skills in both English and Chinese, preferably including Cantonese and Putonghua; |
|
(d) |
A good team player with a proactive attitude; |
|
(e) |
Preferably with knowledge and experience in curriculum and new module development; |
|
(f) |
Candidate(s) with good records of linkage with industry or professional bodies and/or good understanding of VPET education would be an advantage; and |
|
(g) |
Proficiency in Putonghua: |
|
|
(i) |
Mother tongue/language is Putonghua; or |
|
|
(ii) |
Received a bachelor’s degree or above of which the medium of instruction is Putonghua; or |
|
|
(iii) |
Have at least over 3 years’ work experience in relation to the Mainland or other Putonghua speaking countries or regions (Singapore, Taiwan, etc.); or |
|
|
(iv) |
Attainment of Grade 3B at the Putonghua Shuipin Ceshi [普通話水平測試三級乙等] or above. |
|
(h) |
Specific Requirements: |
|
|
(i) |
Solid experience working in the aviation industry, specifically in inflight passenger service, with a focus on customer service and safety procedures; or |
|
|
(ii) |
Familiar with the operation of the aviation industry (commercial sector), or other passenger transports (Cruise / Railway / Bus), preferably in passenger services (both front-line & back-end) and management; or |
|
|
(iii) |
Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, emergency protocols, and industry best practices is an advantage. |
|
|

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Applicants with less relevant experience may be considered for the post of "Term Assistant Lecturer" at the rank of Teaching Associate. |
|
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
|
(3) |
The initial posting is in IVE (Tsing Yi). |
|
(4) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. |
|
(5) |
The appointee(s) may be required to work irregular hours / outside normal office hours and / or at different work locations on a need basis. |
