Major Duties: |
(a) |
To deliver housekeeping services in the VTC Halls of Residence (Pokfulam); |
(b) |
To assist in coordinating and monitoring cleaning workers to ensure high cleanliness standard; |
(c) |
To assist in the general upkeep and maintenance of the equipment / facilities to meet safety standards; |
(d) |
To assist in the procurement of consumables and supplies, updating policies and procedures, and preparing reports; |
(e) |
To ensure hall residents’ adherence to residence policies; |
(f) |
To handle enquiries from hall residents and the public, and assist in managing complaints; and |
(g) |
To assist the Hall Manager in administrative and operational matters. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
(i) |
Level 2 or above in 5 subjects, including English Language*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination, or equivalent^; OR |
|
(ii) |
Level 2 / Grade E or above in 5 subjects including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE); OR |
|
(iii) |
Diploma of Applied Education + Maths Plus / Diploma Yi Jin + Mathematics / Project Yi Jin; OR |
|
(iv) |
A recognised Certificate / Diploma / Foundation Diploma / Foundation Certificate / Diploma of Foundation Studies; OR |
|
(v) |
A recognised Associate Degree / Higher Diploma or above. |
* |
Completion of Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP) at Level 2 / Passing 5 specific VTC’s Vocational English Module Certificates is considered an alternative qualification. |

“Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in HKDSE Examination are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects. |
(b) |
Preferably with a recognised certificate / diploma in Housekeeping; |
(c) |
Preferably with experience in housekeeping and / or dormitory operations; |
(d) |
Good communication skills in English and Putonghua; |
(e) |
Good organisation and interpersonal skills; |
(f) |
Ability to work independently and be a good team player; |
(g) |
Proficiency in basic computer applications; and |
(h) |
Preferably with knowledge of first aid. |

Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |

Appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and work on irregular hours, including evenings and public holidays. |
