Major Duties: |
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including preparation and delivery of lectures and workshop sessions, monitor students’ performance in Project Based Learning and Assessment, setting and marking students’ assessments, supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement; |
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials and facilities; |
(d) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and |
(e) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, campus / departmental projects and functions including but not limited to Robocon, WorldSkills (Autonomous Mobile Robotics), consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience; |
(c) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; |
(d) |
Solid knowledge in Mechanical Design, Robotics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Statics and Dynamics, will be an advantage; and |
(e) |
Relevant experience in engineering focused project competition will be an advantage. |

Notes: |
(1) |
Applicants with less relevant experience may be considered for the post of Term / Part-time (Daytime) Assistant Lecturer, at the rank of “Teaching Associate”. |
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
(3) |
Shortlisted candidate will be required to take a written assessment. |
(4) |
Appointees may be required to work irregular hours / outside normal office hours and/or at different work locations on a need basis. |
