Major Duties: |
(a)
|
To collaborate with campus/site management and relevant committees to ensure alignment and coordination in the management of reported occupational health and safety cases; |
(b) |
To provide administrative support for the recording system for all reported occurrences; |
(c)
|
To assist in conducting risk assessments and formulating mitigation measures to control occupational health and safety hazards; |
(d)
|
To support in monitoring compliance with the procedures and timelines for handling reported occupational health and safety cases; |
(e)
|
To assist in data entry, archiving records and maintaining database of reported cases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity; |
(f)
|
To compile and organise documentation and presentations related to occupational health and safety reports, risk assessments, mitigation strategies and compliance records; and |
(g)
|
To provide suggestions for enhancing the effectiveness of the reporting system and participate in the implementation of improvement initiatives. |
|
|
Requirements: |
(a)
|
A recognised degree in Engineering, Science or Occupational Health & Safety related disciplines, or a corporate membership of the relevant professional institution, or equivalent; |
(b)
|
At least 2 years’ relevant post-qualification experience as Registered Safety Officer, preferably in educational institutions or major organisations; |
(c) |
Qualification of Registered Safety Officer under the Labour Department or equivalent; |
(d) |
Good problem solving, time management and team building skills; |
(e) |
Good communication, interpersonal and organisation skills at all levels; and |
(f) |
Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese. |
