Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To supervise the installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of equipment / apparatus; |
|
(b) |
To be responsible for updating the laboratory exercise instruction sheets; |
|
(c) |
To assist teaching staff in demonstration, laboratory / practical classes and projects; |
|
(d) |
To apply licenses for the chemicals and facilities in the laboratories; |
|
(e) |
To oversee and enforce the overall safety regulations in the designated areas of the operational unit; |
|
(f) |
To assist in the procurement and inventory control of relevant stores and equipment; |
|
(g) |
To assist in staff training and staff supervision; and |
|
(h) |
To maintain the tidiness of the workshops and laboratories. |

Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised diploma or higher certificate in Engineering or equivalent; |
|
(b) |
At least 6 years’ relevant experience, preferably with experience in Marine Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering; |
|
(c) |
Good knowledge of operation of Marine or Aviation related software application would be an advantage; |
|
(d) |
Proficiency in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; |
|
(e) |
Good supervisory, communication, interpersonal skills and administrative skills; and |
|
(f) |
Self-initiative and be a good team player. |

(1) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
|
(2) |
The work location is in IVE (Tsing Yi). |
|
(3) |
Shortlisted candidates(s) may be required to attend and pass a trade test. |
|
(4) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned. |
