    Part-time Project Officer
    Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Chai Wan)

    Major Duties:
    (a) To carry out the promotional activities of “STEM in PE Design Competition”;  
    (b) To develop “Skill Passport” for visitors;  
    (c) To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement;  
    (d) To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;  
    (e) To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes;  
    (f) To organise semi-final and final pitching in the assigned venue;  
    (g) To work with participating schools to establish “STEM in PE Corner”;  
    (h) To showcase the awarded projects with stakeholders;  
    (i) To prepare handbook and reports for the competition;  
    (j) To solicit funding for the competition; and  
    (k) To oversee the procurement activities.  
         
    Requirements:
    (a) A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;  
    (b) At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience;  
    (c) Solid experience in organising STEAM-related competition;  
    (d) Good knowledge in funding applications and management;  
    (e) Good experience in supporting pitching / publicity activities;  
    (f) Preferably experience in providing secretarial support for working group / committees;  
    (g) Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; and  
    (h) Strong initiative, good interpersonal and administrative skills.  
         
    Notes:  
    (1) The post is in the rank of “Lecturer”.  
    (2) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.  
    (3) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.  
    (4) The appointees may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours / work on shift duty and/or outside campus.  
    (5) Immediate availability is preferred.
