    Facilities Manager (Building Services)
    Estates and Campus Development Office

    Major Duties :
    (a) To assist Senior Facilities Manager in project management of building repair and maintenance (R&M) and alterations, additions and improvements (AA&I) projects and management of property management services contractors;
    (b) To supervise subordinates and ensure established procedures and guidelines are followed;
    (c) To prepare project briefs, schedule of accommodation and accommodation requirements;
    (d) To assist the preparation of tender documents for Term Architectural and Associated Consultancy Services, Term Works and Property Management Services contracts;
    (e) To manage external consultants, contractors and services providers;
    (f) To liaise with various users, Government officers and stakeholders;
    (g) To prepare presentation materials and drawings;
    (h) To monitor project expenditure and progress to ensure timely completion of projects;
    (i) To identify and implement latest trend and best practice in construction industry;
    (j) To attend emergency call and perform typhoon duty; and
    (k) To perform any other duties as assigned / required to facilitate implementation of building R&M, AA&I projects and property management services.
       
    Requirements :
    (a) A recognised higher diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent;
    (b) At least 10 years’ relevant work experience;
    (c) Applicants would have an advantage if they possess any of the following:
      (i) A recognised degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent;
      (ii) A membership of a relevant professional institution in a relevant field; and
      (iii) A relevant registered professional in Hong Kong.
    (d) Preferably with at least 3 years’ work experience in a supervisory capacity on the clients’ side or representing the clients’ side such as government / public organisations / tertiary institutions / consultants for project management of building R&M and AA&I projects;
    (e) Good administrative, interpersonal, communication and team building skills;
    (f) Sound management capability and ability to work independently; and
    (g) Good command of English and Chinese.
     
    Notes :
    (1) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
    (2) Appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned.
