    The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 2012. It is an innovative, professional and entrepreneurial organisation committed to greening and sustainability. THEi offers more than 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" degree programmes across six Academic Departments: Department of Food and Health Sciences, Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering, Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Hospitality and Business Management, Department of Design and Architecture, and Department of Digital Innovation and Technology. These programmes cover industries with growth potential in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region. The programmes integrate practical applications with theoretical knowledge to ensure that students can effectively apply what they have learned. Our degree programmes are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, as well as by the relevant professional bodies where appropriate. By adopting an applied Science-Oriented teaching approach and focusing on applied Bachelor's degree programmes, THEi equips students with professional skills and knowledge to meet various future challenges upon graduation.     Major Duties:
    The Registry is responsible for an array of administrative and academic support services, including academic development and quality assurance, student admission and registration, class scheduling, management of assessments, examinations, records and graduation, to support the strategic development of the academic departments and the Institute.  Reporting directly to the Vice President (Operation and Enterprise), the major duties of the incumbent are:
    (a) To formulate, review and implement academic policies, regulations and procedures relating to student admission and registration, quality assurance, integrity of admission qualifications of students, and accuracy of student records and transcript production;
    (b) To oversee efficient class scheduling and examination timetabling, and ensure integrity of assessments and examinations;
    (c) To provide strategic directions on academic planning and execution, including but not limited to local and non-local student promotion, recruitment and registration, admission and related scholarship, processing of assessment results and graduation;
    (d) To set up and maintain operational systems in support of programme planning, development and validation, accreditation and re-accreditation;
    (e) To provide secretarial and administrative support to the Board of Governors, Institute Council, Academic Board, Programme Board and other committees; and
    (f) To provide strategic input and recommendations for the implementation of systems and applications to enhance academic services for students and staff.
       
    Requirements:
    (a) A recognised degree or equivalent, preferably with additional and relevant academic or professional qualifications;
    (b) At least 10 years of relevant experience at the appropriate level of responsibilities;
    (c) Administrative experience in managing the registry of a university or higher education institute would be an advantage;
    (d) Good knowledge and experience in student recruitment and admission, programme accreditation and administration, student record policies and procedures;
    (e) Strong capability in strategic thinking, leadership, problem solving, teamwork and time management;
    (f) Exceptional ability to drive and manage change; and
    (g) Strong presentation and interpersonal skills; and good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua.
         
    Notes:
    (1) The post is at the rank of Senior Manager.
    (2) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.
    (3) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites, and work irregular hours, and on Saturdays and Sundays.  Occasional travel outside Hong Kong will be required.
    (4) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
    (5) The appointee will mainly work at Chai Wan Campus.
