    Term Accounting Assistant
    Institute of Professional Education And Knowledge (PEAK)

    Institute of Professional Education And Knowledge (PEAK) is one of the member institutions of the Vocational Training Council responsible for the provision of in-service training and professional examination services.  More than 200 major companies have utilised its corporate training services.
     
    Major Duties:
    To provide support in the following areas:
      (i) daily accounting duties, fee collection, processing refunds, preparing demand notes, and receipts;
      (ii) assist in preparing monthly financial statements, regular reports and year-end exercises;
      (iii) daily administrative work, such as filing and data entry;
      (iv) drafting simple correspondence; and
      (v) handling enquiries.
         
    Requirements:
    (a) (i) Level 2 or above in 5 subjects, including English Language*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination, or equivalent^; OR
      (ii) Level 2 / Grade E or above in 5 subjects including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE); OR
      (iii) Diploma of Applied Education + Maths Plus / Diploma Yi Jin + Mathematics / Project Yi Jin; OR
      (iv) A recognised Certificate / Diploma / Foundation Diploma / Foundation Certificate / Diploma of Foundation Studies; OR
      (v) A recognised Associate Degree / Higher Diploma or above.
    * Completion of Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP) at Level 2 / Passing 5 specific VTC’s Vocational English Module Certificates is considered an alternative qualification.
    ^ Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in HKDSE Examination are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects.
    (b) Proficiency in computer software application, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing;
    (c) Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills;
    (d) Ability to work independently and be a good team player;
    (e) Relevant work experience in accounting will be a definite advantage; and 
    (f) Fresh graduates will be considered.
       
    Notes:
    (1) The post is at the rank of Executive Assistant II.
    (2) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours.
