    Ir Alkin KWONG Ching-wai, JP

    Ir Alkin KWONG Ching-wai is a well experienced figure in the property development and management sector. After 16 years of service as the Senior Structural Engineer in the Buildings Department, he joined the private sector and is currently the Vice Chairman and the Chief Executive of Hong Yip Holdings Limited, and the Deputy Executive Director (Guangdong Project) of Sun Hung Kai Properties (China) Limited.

    Apart from his business endeavours, he is also strongly committed to enhancing the professional standards of the property management industry. As a member of the Property Management Industry Training Advisory Committee under the Education Bureau, he has contributed his tremendous efforts and insights for the formulation of Specification of Competency Standards to encourage lifelong learning of the practitioners in the property management sector and to raise the manpower quality of the industry.

    Ir Kwong has been serving on the VTC’s Real Estate Services Training Board since 2005, initially as a member and was appointed as the Chairman in 2011. Under his leadership, the Board has grown significantly in professional strengths, providing strategic direction for the curriculum development of programmes offered by the VTC’s member institutions to ensure adequate supply of property management professionals to meet the growing manpower demands of the industry.

    For his distinguished services to Hong Kong, Ir Kwong was appointed Justice of the Peace in 2010.
