I have always been interested in biotechnology, so I enrolled in related courses at IVE. From there, I gained valuable industry internship opportunities, participated in genetic research, and applied classroom knowledge. Subsequently, I was awarded a scholarship from the Alistair Harvey Foundation Scholarship to pursue bachelor's and master's degrees in the UK, strengthening the foundation for my professional development. Now, I work at the National Cancer Center in Singapore, specializing in cancer genetics, and I am grateful to IVE for helping me embark on the path of scientific research!

As a graduate of tourism studies, it’s important to see the world. During my studies at IVE, I am truly grateful for an opportunity to have an internship at Disney World in the United States to meet tourists and colleagues from different nationalities. It greatly widened my horizons. The experience was life-changing.

The Higher Diploma programme at IVE combines theory and practice, covering a broad spectrum of areas. Through exchange activities and internships, I gained a deep understanding of the industry’s practical operations. After graduation, I was awarded a scholarship to study at a UK university, where I pursued a Bachelor’s and Doctoral Degree. I am now a chartered engineer, contributing to green engineering development at a major energy company in the UK.

I started with the Higher Diploma in Health and Life Sciences at IVE, successfully progressing to a Bachelor’s Degree at Coventry University in the UK, followed by a Master of Business Administration at City University of Hong Kong. The IVE programme helped me advance step by step towards professionalism, and after graduation, I entered the environmental engineering industry.

Studying at IVE Engineering is one of the best choices I have ever made in my life. IVE education not only helped me to build up a solid foundation in Building Services Engineering, but also provided me opportunity to pursue higher education. I am grateful to be nominated by IVE teacher for Alistair Harvey Foundation Scholarship and articulate to University in the UK. IVE’s professional and widely-recognised qualification allowed me to directly enter the sophomore year of my bachelor’s degree.

While studying the Higher Diploma programme at IVE, I interned at an accredited medical laboratory and an ophthalmology center. These experiences enhanced my understanding of the practical duties of a medical laboratory technologist and the day-to-day operations within a lab. After graduation, I was awarded a scholarship to complete my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in the UK, laying the foundation for obtaining professional qualifications.

The IVE Higher Diploma programme offers various opportunities for internships, exchanges, and industry collaborations. During my studies, I engaged in an exchange programme with a French winery for winemaking and hands-on experience with local, seasoned catering professionals. This valuable experience paved the way to join a five-star hotel group, where I could effectively apply my knowledge and skills.

I would like to thank IVE Engineering for providing me with extensive knowledge and equipping me with the essential skills for my further study and work. Throughout my study at IVE, I had the opportunity to participate in the 13th China National Challenge Cup, where I deepened my technical knowledge and formed meaningful connections with peers. After graduating from IVE, I was admitted to the University of Hong Kong, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Now, I serve as Graduate Engineer at the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, applying the skills I have acquired to contribute to the public.

In addition to fundamental knowledge and practical skills, the IVE programme offered me diversified activities and industrial attachments. I was fortunate to be able to intern at the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and Disney World in the United States during my study which paved way for my further study and career development.

Compared to other tertiary institutions, I believe that IVE Engineering not only provides professional theoretical courses but also emphasises students' practical experience in the industry. The curriculum includes arranging internships for students, giving me the opportunity to participate in daily airport operations and acquire relevant practical skills, which has made me more responsible and clarified my future career direction. I am very grateful for this internship opportunity, which has equipped me with the necessary workplace skills. Furthermore, IVE Engineering also offers scholarships for overseas studies. I am fortunate to have received the Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarship, which supports me in pursuing my dream of flying! The IVE programme has provided me with the knowledge and skills to enter university, and has laid the foundation for my current role as a trainee pilot and future career as an airline pilot. Therefore, I will seize every opportunity to give back to my juniors and encourage them to set goals for dreams at IVE Engineering. In conclusion, IVE Engineering has facilitated my continuous growth, and I believe that the knowledge and experience gained will have a positive impact on my future career development. Choosing IVE Engineering has been a wise decision!

While studying for my Higher Diploma at IVE, I had the privilege of participating in the development of the solar-powered vehicle SOPHIE 8 and joined an international competition in Australia. This valuable experience inspired me to embark on an entrepreneurial journey, developing solar energy converters. Today, in addition to continuing my research in the field of renewable energy, I have also begun exploring STEAM education, hoping to integrate technical knowledge with education to drive further innovation.

The Diploma of Foundation Studies allowed me to explore engineering knowledge. I was awarded a scholarship for an overseas exchange, which broadened my horizons. After graduation, I advanced to Higher Diploma and then smoothly transitioned to Bachelor's Degree, laying a solid foundation for my career development.

During my time at IVE, I participated in different field studies, which allowed me to integrate classroom learning with real-world work environments, making my studies more effective. After graduating from Higher Diploma, I was awarded a scholarship to study for a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management and Surveying in the UK. I later completed a Master’s Degree, realising my dream of becoming a surveyor.

The IVE Higher Diploma allowed me to accumulate extensive practical experiences. I participated in the World Solar Challenge for three consecutive years, designing the power systems and energy management programmes for solar-powered vehicles, and won third place in the Australian competition. These valuable experiences enhanced my competitiveness and greatly supported my progression to university.
