Equipped with digitally connected training vehicles, the centre develops diagnostic skills to meet growing industry demands for EV servicing expertise.
The Aviation Centre offers professional simulated mock IP cabin and check-in counter training to help students acquire industry-specific skills and real-world workplace experience.
The Centre equips students with STEAM knowledge, providing practical insights into emerging technologies. Through Smart City projects and interdisciplinary initiatives addressing urban challenges, students enhance their skills by applying technology. The Virtual and Augmented Reality (VAR) Learning Zone help students grasp engineering concepts in an immersive environment.
Equipped with advanced facilities, the Building Information Modelling Innovation Hub (BIMiHub) provides students with professional BIM education and training and promotes interdisciplinary collaborations across campuses. It aims at driving BIM development and co-creating innovative solutions to meet industry needs.
Simulated Airport Operations Centre offers a simulated environment for Hong Kong International Airport simulating and integrating airport operations. The Centre has in place an Airport Operations Control Room, Airport Emergency Room and Flight Simulator providing simulated airport training for students to enhance their understanding and familiarise them with practices of the aviation industry.
The center features advanced facilities, including full-scale construction site with Digital Works Supervision System, Smart Site Safety System, and Computer Aided Virtual Environment, along with demonstrations of Modular Integrated Construction and Multi-trade Integrated MEP. Students learn to conduct site inspections on workmanship, material quality, and acceptance standards with the use of technology.
The Environmental Technology Laboratory is used to support teaching and practical training for Higher Diploma in Environmental Engineering and other related in-service training programmes.
Architectural Design Studio provides learning and creative space for students of the Higher Diploma in Architectural Studies. Students can explore, experiment and practice from different angles of view to produce creative works.
It focuses on the testing of construction materials such as steel rebars, aggregates, cement and concrete, the load testing of both light and heavy structural elements. Besides, it is also equipped with the state-of-the-art non-destructive testing equipment for building inspection and maintenance.
Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory is equipped with modern facilities to support the learning and teaching of the fundamental properties of soils, testing methods and the working principles of geotechnical structures.
